Fly Denali boasts an excellent safety record! Your safety and the safety of our pilots and aircraft is our primary concern. Our experienced pilots have thousands of flight hours, many of these over the Denali National Park, and they return year after year to guide you on your once-in-a-lifetime experience. Further, our pilots are constantly briefed and trained on weather protocols, glacier landing conditions, communications with other pilots, and new technology to ensure continued safety and unparalleled passenger comfort. Our maintenance staff is available around the clock to provide inspections, mechanical updates, and improvements, and guarantee that our aircraft are not only ready for flight but clean and sanitized for your health and safety.
The pilots aren’t the only ones who keep coming back to work for Fly Denali. Our experienced office, ramping, and driving staff, from all over Alaska and the lower 48, are proud to spend summer after summer ensuring our guests enjoy every minute of their excursion to Denali! Whether giving an easy, hassle-free booking experience or providing a safe and friendly, complimentary transportation to and from all of the Denali and Healy hotels, our staff takes great pride in making your once in a lifetime glacier landing experience the best part of your Alaskan vacation!
Our Fleet
Our fleet consists of the mighty De Havilland Turbine Beavers and Cessna 185s. Our aircraft were built from the late 60’s to early 80’s and have been meticulously maintained over the years. Our Beavers are powered by a single Pratt and Whitney turbine engine and were created specifically for bush flying making our planes perfect for flying in Alaska and Denali National Park. Our ski planes equipped with hydraulic wheel skis and short take-off and landing (STOL) ability are what allow them to perform so well on and off the glaciers of Denali. Their high-wing design provides an unobstructed view of the breathtaking Alaskan terrain, making this aircraft perfect for flightseeing.
The seating arrangement in the Beaver consists of 5 rows of 2 seats, comfortably fitting up to 9 passengers and our pilot. Our Cessna 185 provides a more intimate experience with 3 rows of 2 seats accommodating up to four adult passengers for smaller groups, families, or couples. Each seat is a window seat!! Providing all of our passengers with their own private viewing of the beauty below, as well as your own interactive headset, our pilots narrate your personalized tour over the Denali National Park and the Alaska Range. Questions are not only encouraged but can enhance your experience! Tell our pilots why you came to Alaska and what you are here to see! Remember… there is no such thing as a silly question!
